Volkswagen Anhui launches the Xpeng-developed ID. UNYX 09 sedan from 179,900 yuan

Volkswagen Anhui put the ID. UNYX 09 electric sedan on sale on 24 October at list prices of 179,900 to 249,900 yuan. A 169,900 yuan price covers only 500 black entry cars.

Volkswagen Anhui launched the ID. UNYX 09 electric sedan in China on Saturday, 24 October 2026, according to CnEVPost. It is the second Volkswagen-branded model developed with Xpeng, after the ID. UNYX 08 SUV.

CnEVPost lists three trims, Ultra, a fully equipped version and Max, at 179,900, 219,900 and 249,900 yuan. CarNewsChina prints the same three prices and converts them to about 26,800 to 37,300 U.S. dollars. CnEVPost says the entry list price is 20,000 yuan below the 199,900 yuan pre-sale price announced on 24 September, and that the top price did not change.

The headline 169,900 yuan figure is narrow. CnEVPost says that Double 11 promotional price applies only to the Ultra in a black exterior, is limited to 500 cars, and is 10,000 yuan off that trim's list price. It says launch offers apply to deposits paid from 24 October to 30 November.

On hardware, CnEVPost says the two rear-drive trims have a 230 kW motor and a 755 km CLTC range, and the all-wheel-drive Max uses 140 kW and 230 kW motors for 705 km CLTC. Every version has a pack of about 92 kWh with 5C cells from CATL, and Volkswagen Anhui says five minutes of charging can add 250 km of range. The car is 5,081 mm long on a 3,030 mm wheelbase, and each trim carries an Xpeng Turing chip rated at 750 TOPS. CarNewsChina gives the top range as about 612 km on the WLTP cycle; that conversion is the outlet's.

Analysis

The 169,900 yuan price is a 500-car promotion on one colour of one trim. For most buyers the car starts at 179,900 yuan. The 755 km figure is a CLTC rating for the rear-drive versions, and CLTC numbers usually run well above WLTP or EPA figures. The 250 km in five minutes is the company's claim, not a test by this desk.
