The desk covers five beats: cars, batteries, charging, policy, and industry. The aim is one article a day, on news, models, how-tos, or the business around electric vehicles. Desk copy carries the byline EV News Desk.

How a story earns a place on the site

A story stays a draft until its front matter lists every source it relies on. Each source needs the publisher’s page title, a public URL, the publisher’s name, and a date. The date is the publisher’s publication or update date when the page shows one, and the date we recorded the page when it does not. Claims in the body should link to those same URLs. The production build fails if a published article has an empty source list or a source missing any of those fields.

We do not invent quotes, prices, specifications, or events. If a figure is not in a source, it does not go in the story.
