Volkswagen France lists the ID. Cross from €27,995; French outlets report a 37 kWh LFP version against a 52 kWh NMC version from €37,800

Volkswagen France lists the ID. Cross from €27,995 and a range of up to 426 km. Frandroid and L'Auto-Journal report that the entry car uses a 37 kWh LFP pack, and that the 52 kWh NMC version still starts at €37,800.

Volkswagen France lists the ID. Cross from 27,995 euros including tax. The model page says that is the Trend price, that range is up to 426 km depending on the battery, and that maximum charging power is 88 kW and 105 kW. It says the 52 kWh battery goes from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 24 minutes on a 105 kW charger, and that home charging can reach 11 kW. The boot is 475 litres, with 102 litres under the floor and up to 25 litres in front. Towing is up to 1,200 kg depending on the version, with a 75 kg nose weight. Trend, Life, and Style are open for orders. The page puts the car on MEB+ and lists vehicle-to-load output of up to 3.6 kW. A footnote dates 52 kWh WLTP consumption, 14.4 to 19.2 kWh per 100 km, to 15 July 2026. The page itself shows no publication day. This desk recorded it on 25 October 2026. It does not name a 37 kWh pack, lithium iron phosphate, nickel manganese cobalt, or 37,800 euros.

Frandroid and L'Auto-Journal, both on 19 October 2026, supply the chemistry and the second price. Both say the car had been offered only with a 52 kWh pack from 37,800 euros, and that a version orderable in France since mid-October starts at 27,995 euros. Both say the cheaper pack is 37 kWh and uses LFP, lithium iron phosphate, and that the 52 kWh pack uses NMC, nickel manganese cobalt. Both put the gap at 9,805 euros. Frandroid says the 27,995 euro car is already visible in Volkswagen's configurator. The 27,995 euro entry price is the figure on Volkswagen France's page. The 37 kWh capacity, the LFP and NMC labels, and the 37,800 euro price are what the two outlets report. They are not sentences on the model page this desk opened.

The outlets assign the entry car a shorter range than Volkswagen's lineup ceiling of 426 km. Both say the 116-horsepower Trend is rated at up to 324 km WLTP. Frandroid adds 304 km for the least favorable configuration. Both say the small pack charges at 88 kW and goes from 10 to 80 percent in 23 minutes. Both say the 211-horsepower 52 kWh version remains on sale from 37,800 euros, that a Life with that pack is rated at 427 km, that its fast charging is 105 kW, and that towing is 1,200 kg with the larger pack and 750 kg with the smaller one. Volkswagen's page is the source for the 426 km ceiling and for about 24 minutes at 105 kW on the 52 kWh pack. The 427 km, 324 km, 23 minutes, and 750 kg figures are the outlets'. One kilometer separates 426 and 427. This story leaves each number on the page that prints it.

Higher 37 kWh finishes are in both articles. A 135-horsepower Life is 32,900 euros, and a 37 kWh Style is 36,750 euros, 4,900 euros under the same finish with the 52 kWh battery, both outlets say. The 135-horsepower car is rated at 313 km WLTP at best. The 0-to-100 km/h times they print are 11 seconds with 116 horsepower and 9.9 seconds with 135. Frandroid says the Life adds 18-inch wheels, a rear camera, adaptive cruise, and wireless charging. L'Auto-Journal's table calls the 37,800 euro row a former Trend. Frandroid says the 211-horsepower 52 kWh car remains on sale from 37,800 euros, with 427 km on the Life. This story follows Frandroid on which finish carries 37,800 euros.

The cluster size differs by a fraction. Volkswagen lists a 12.9-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch ID. Cockpit. Both outlets say 12.9 inches and a 10.25-inch cluster. This story uses Volkswagen's 10.2 inches for the cluster.

The subsidy arithmetic is the outlets'. Both say a CEE bonus runs from 3,535 to 6,145 euros by income, and that 27,995 minus those amounts is 24,460 to 21,850 euros. Volkswagen's page does not print the net prices. This article does not say who qualifies.

Frandroid prints the body at 4.15 meters long, 1.79 wide, 1.58 high, with a 2.60 meter wheelbase, and says a Renault 4 E-Tech Evolution starts at 29,990 euros with a 40 kWh battery. L'Auto-Journal sets the new price near the Skoda Epiq, the Renault 4 E-Tech, and the BYD Atto 2. The 475 litre boot is also on Volkswagen's page.

Analysis

The 27,995 euro Trend price, the lineup range of up to 426 km, and the 52 kWh charge time of about 24 minutes at 105 kW are on Volkswagen France's page. The 37 kWh LFP label, the NMC label on the 52 kWh pack, and the 37,800 euro price are what Frandroid and L'Auto-Journal both reported on 19 October. They match each other and the entry price Volkswagen prints. The model page this desk opened does not itself say LFP or NMC. Volkswagen's footnote says WLTP range in use varies with driving, speed, temperature, and load. The CEE net prices are the outlets' subtraction, not a price Volkswagen prints and not advice on who can claim the bonus.
