Firefly's new 60 kWh pack is rated at 560 km CLTC, and the outright price starts at 136,800 yuan

Firefly says its new 60 kWh pack reaches 560 km on the CLTC cycle, with outright prices from 136,800 yuan or 79,800 yuan under battery rental at 599 yuan a month. CnEVPost reports a 17,000 yuan permanent upgrade from the 42 kWh pack.

Firefly, Nio's small-car brand, said on 23 October 2026 that a long-range 60 kWh battery is on sale, with a CLTC range of up to 560 km. The company release says a Firefly with that pack starts at 136,800 yuan outright. Under the BaaS battery-rental plan the car starts at 79,800 yuan, and the battery service fee is 599 yuan a month. The release says the brand now offers two packs, the 60 kWh long-range battery and a 42 kWh standard-range battery. It says the 60 kWh pack uses ternary lithium cells and keeps the same acceleration and energy use as the 42 kWh car. It says cumulative deliveries have exceeded 90,000 since the brand went on sale. It does not, on that page, print a CLTC figure for the 42 kWh pack, an upgrade price, or a monthly fee for the smaller battery.

CnEVPost, the same day, reports the range change the release leaves unstated. It says the new pack raises CLTC range to 560 km from 420 km, an increase of 140 km, or about 33 percent, and that the car had previously been offered only with the 42 kWh battery. It says the 60 kWh pack uses ternary lithium cells and the 42 kWh pack uses lithium iron phosphate. It says both versions accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. Those cell-chemistry and acceleration details for the pair of packs are CnEVPost's account of what Firefly said. The company release confirms ternary lithium for the 60 kWh pack and says acceleration is unchanged. It does not print 7.9 seconds or the letters LFP.

The upgrade prices are also in CnEVPost's account. It says an owner who bought the car outright can permanently move from the 42 kWh pack to the 60 kWh pack for a difference of 17,000 yuan, and must apply at least one year after the purchase-invoice date. It says an existing BaaS user pays a permanent upgrade service fee of 3,000 yuan, and that the rental fee after the upgrade is 599 yuan a month, against 399 yuan for the 42 kWh version. For a new buyer, CnEVPost says the 60 kWh car starts at 136,800 yuan outright and at 79,800 yuan under BaaS with a 599 yuan monthly fee. Those three new-buyer figures match the company release. The 17,000 yuan, the 3,000 yuan fee, the 399 yuan rent, and the one-year wait are in CnEVPost's article. They are not printed on the release page this desk opened.

CnEVPost's table, which it presents as Firefly's plan, has three trims. The Free Edition is 119,800 yuan outright with the 42 kWh pack and 136,800 with the 60 kWh pack, or 79,800 under BaaS either way, at 399 or 599 yuan a month. The Glow Edition is 125,800 or 142,800 outright, and 85,800 under BaaS. The Halo Edition is 133,300 or 150,300 outright, and 93,300 under BaaS. On each row the BaaS car price stays the same and the monthly fee changes. The release prints only the starting prices, which match the Free Edition 60 kWh row.

CnEVPost also describes a limited-time coupon. It says eligible BaaS users can claim a 1,000 yuan service-fee coupon, which lowers the upgrade service fee from 3,000 yuan to 2,000 yuan, and that outright owners receive 20,000 credit points of the same value. The offers, it says, apply to first owners who locked orders for a 42 kWh car on or before 22 October 2026 and who complete the permanent upgrade on or before 31 December 2027. That deadline and the coupon are CnEVPost's report. They are not on the release page.

The hardware that lets an owner change packs without a new car is in both accounts. The release says a standardized module was part of the design, and that a permanent upgrade runs through Nio's swap system. CnEVPost says the two packs share the housing, the mounting points, and the lock. It says Firefly first used Nio's fifth-generation swap stations on 7 August, and that fourth-generation stations did not fit the shorter car. The release does not give that date.

The release says the pack follows Nio's safety standard, cites 14 tests it calls stricter than the national standard, and says the 60 kWh version adds thermal protection for the ternary cells. Those are Firefly's descriptions of its own hardware.

Deliveries have exceeded 90,000, the release says. CnEVPost says the brand announced on 16 October that the total had reached 90,000, about six weeks after 80,000 at the end of August. Its table, compiled from company reports, shows 7,327 deliveries in September, up 26.87 percent year on year and 25.21 percent from August, and 48,122 in the first nine months. The release does not print those months. CnEVPost's $2,530 for 17,000 yuan uses its rate of 6.7180. The release itself is priced in yuan.

Analysis

The 560 km figure is a CLTC laboratory rating. The release does not print a WLTP number. The 79,800 yuan BaaS price is the car without the pack, plus 599 yuan a month for the 60 kWh battery. In CnEVPost's Free Edition row, 136,800 minus 119,800 is 17,000 yuan, the outright upgrade difference the outlet prints, and the monthly fee rises by 200 yuan, from 399 to 599. "Exceeded 90,000" is not an exact delivery total. Neither source is a recommendation to buy the car or take the upgrade.
