EasyPark adds EV charging to its parking app in Belgium, with a 15% fee capped at 2 euros
Newmobility.news says EasyPark now offers charging in Belgium through its parking app, with a 15% fee per session capped at 2 euros. France and Spain are due before year-end.

EasyPark, the Swedish parking app, now offers electric-car charging alongside parking in Belgium, newmobility.news reported on 26 October. The outlet says France and Spain will get the service before the end of the year.
The outlet says EasyPark charges a service fee of 15% of the charging cost on each transaction, up to a maximum of 2 euros, and that parking and charging may need separate transactions. At launch, EasyPark claims access to 62% of Belgium's public charging points and aims for 95% by the end of 2026, according to the report.
EasyPark owns no chargers. Newmobility.news says it works with charge point operators as a gateway. The outlet notes that rival app Seety charges no such fee, and that EasyPark's parent company Arrive has acquired 4411.
Newmobility.news argues the fee makes little sense for Belgian company-car drivers whose employer already pays through a charging card, and says it may suit small fleets or drivers who already park with the app. It says the EasyPark Go subscription, at 3.99 euros a month, removes parking fees, but that it is unclear whether it waives the charging fee in Belgium. The outlet also notes that Belgium's Economic Inspectorate began looking into parking apps in June at the request of minister Rob Beenders.
Analysis
On a 10 euro session, a 15% fee adds 1.50 euros; the 2 euro cap applies from about 13.33 euros. The per-kWh price still depends on the operator. The 62% coverage figure is the company's claim as reported, not a count by this desk.
